As the peak bloom time of the 2008 iris season approaches, the Greater Portland Iris Society would like to invite you to join us at one of our shows, meetings or other events. Check out our calendar page to see what we are doing.

Our membership is a group of enthusiastic gardeners who grow many kinds of irises. We are affiliated with the American Iris Society, meet monthly (except January and July), and have great iris shows and plant sales, in addition to an annual iris auction.

If you like to grow irises, want to learn more about them, and meet other iris enthusiasts, we invite you to join us.

Siberian iris, which generally blooom at the same time as tall bearded iris, are another option for those who need a clumping texture in their garden.
